June 8th Primary Election Reminder
Tuesday, June 8th is election day in San Diego! There are two very close Council races that will likely be decided by a handful of voters. In District 6, MEA has endorsed Howard Wayne, a former State Assemblymember with a solid record of accomplishment, who would help to significantly elevate the dialogue in San Diego politics. In District 8, MEA has endorsed David Alvarez who is a young, very bright, hard worker whose perspective and energy would be a welcome addition to the City Council. MEA has also endorsed incumbents Kevin Faulconer in District 2 and Tony Young in District 4. In addition, MEA has endorsed former City Councilmember Toni Atkins for State Assembly District 76 and current City Councilmember Ben Hueso for State Assembly District 79. Please remember to vote on Tuesday and to help us get deserving, well-qualified candidates elected.
