Introducing Your Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is responsible for welcoming and reaching out to new members who join our union family. The Committee does so by educating them on the history of the union, explaining how they can get involved and providing a description of the services and benefits MEA offer its members.

The committee is also responsible for organizing and facilitating the annual membership meeting. The event is a great opportunity for members to get their questions answered and to speak directly with their union leadership. The membership meeting is also a lot of fun and is a time for members to eat, relax, win prizes and enjoy the festivities alongside their union family. This year’s MEA Membership meeting will be held on Thursday, July 29th from 5 to 8pm at the Balboa Park Club. Special guests will include MEA’s Legal Counsel Ann Smith and Councilmember Todd Gloria. MEA will also be contacting members via E-Blast to remind everyone to save the date for this great event!
