Aflac Group Critical Illness Plan
According to the American Cancer Society, more than 1.6 million Americans will be diagnosed with cancer this year. According to the Heart Foundation, someone suffers a heart attack every 34 seconds in the U.S. Do you still think it will not happen to you or a family member?
Beating a critical illness can be tough enough, but it’s tougher when the bills start to add up. Ask anyone who has had one of these critical illnesses if $10,000, $20,000 or even $30,000 would have helped their family during the recovery process. The answer would be an emphatic, “YES!”
Aflac Group Critical Illness insurance has helped many MEA members to recuperate without the added stress and anxiety associated with finances. That’s because the plans benefits can be used to help cover medical expenses (that major medical insurance doesn’t cover), living expenses as well as the hidden costs of illness—travel, lodging, miscellaneous out-of-pocket expenses, airfare for family members and even missed time at work. Aflac Group Critical Illness coverage helps alleviate the financial stressors that can hamper a healthy recovery.
The Group Critical Illness plan works by combining Aflac’s traditional cancer coverage with other Aflac plans in order to create one great benefit. This plan offers $200 for mammograms, $50 for other health screenings (every calendar year). The plan also provides a lump sum payment ($10,000, $20,000 or $30,000) upon the diagnosis of each covered illness including cancer, heart attack, heart surgery, stroke, renal failure and more. This fiscal year, members can also elect up to $50,000 in benefits. The plan does not have any lifetime maximums, and the lump sum payouts can be paid multiple times. Please see plan details for limitations.
What are current policyholders saying?
“Originally, I enrolled in Aflac knowing that the enrollment fee would essentially be reimbursed following the simple screening procedures. Little did I know that within that same year, I was diagnosed with cancer! The claim process was easy as 1-2-3, and within days of filing, was automatically deposited to my bank account. Aflac has given me peace of mind; I am so thankful that I added this coverage. Thank you, Aflac!”
