Aflac Group Enrollment is Now Open!
When my husband was diagnosed with Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), our world came tumbling down. The fear of losing him and keeping up with our bills overwhelmed me. While at the hospital he told me to call his AFLAC agent. His agent was amazing, he walked us through every step, which was incredibly fast! 10 days later we had the money in our bank account. That helped us out tremendously and allowed us to focus on my husband’s health and not on our bills. Thank you, AFLAC!

So, what is Aflac?
Aflac is not health insurance or disability insurance, instead it is supplemental insurance that provides you and your family with cash in your time of need. We all have medical insurance that pays doctors and hospital bills. But, as the Ramirez family stated, there are other everyday expenses and unexpected costs that can cause anxiety and stress when dealing with an unfortunate event. That is what Aflac is. It is coverage that provides you a financial cushion when you need it most. We should all have Aflac.
Aflac benefits are paid to you directly, regardless of how much your health insurance covers or whether you miss work. These benefits can be used to cover your rent, mortgage, utility bills, gas, travel, daycare, or however you see fit.
Accidental injuries (both on and off the job), major illnesses (including cancer and heart disease), doctor visits, and hospital stays (due to covered sicknesses), and much more are all covered through the multiple plan options which are available.
Current Policyholders!
If you currently have an Aflac plan and do not wish to make any changes, you do not need to do anything during this enrollment. The plans will continue until you notify us otherwise. If you have had an address change, wish to reduce, or cancel a plan, please contact Will Stover to obtain the appropriate forms.
When can I sign up?
The FY19 Group Aflac enrollment period is now open and will close on June 30th at 9pm. The Group Aflac enrollment website (www.AFLAC.com/SDMEA) is also open and all three plans (Group Accident, Group Critical Illness and Group Hospital Indemnity) are available with guaranteed issue to all eligible employees.
How do I get more information on the rates and plan options?
All plan information is available at www.Aflac.com/SDMEA. In addition to the website, an Aflac Benefit Specialist will be visiting various work locations to answer questions, to provide plan details and rates, as well as to assist with enrollment and claims. To set up a meeting with a Benefit Specialist, or to get more information on rates and plan options, please contact Will Stover at wstover@integratedlabor.com or call (619) 535-7240.
