MEA ANNOUNCES NEW AND IMPROVED 2024 HOLIDAY PARTY AT NEW VENUE — ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR TICKETS NOW OPEN!

Come celebrate the Holiday season with your colleagues and Union family on Saturday, December 14 at the Mission Valley Marriott from 5:30 to 11:00 p.m. The night will include a three-course gourmet dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m., as well as a DJ, dancing, photo booth, and raffle with great prizes.

For the last 10 years, MEA has hosted this event at the Four Points Sheraton in Kearny Mesa.  MEA’s leadership has been looking to upgrade the quality of the food and overall event, and we are very pleased to have landed at a new venue for this year’s party at the Mission Valley Marriott.  The new venue is nicer and bigger and the food will be better, and the fun, camaraderie, and holiday spirit will remain the same and is not to be missed!

Here are the event details and online registration process for ticket sales for 2024:

Date:           Saturday, December 14, 2024

Time:          Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; Dinner 6:30 p.m.; Music, dancing, and raffle throughout the night

Location:     Mission Valley Marriott Grand Ballroom (8757 Rio San Diego Drive)

Parking:      Complementary at hotel

Dinner:        Main course includes choice of braised beef short ribs, oven roasted salmon, achiote chicken, or red chili roasted cauliflower (vegan).

Tickets:       $25 each – MEA members may purchase one ticket for themselves and up to one additional ticket for a guest (tickets are NON-TRANSFERABLE and check-in at the party will be required)

New Process for 2024 Holiday Party Ticket Sales:

Based on member feedback, we are selling tickets to MEA’s Holiday Party only via online registration.  Instead of frantically calling in on a single day, all MEA members will have a full week to fill out a simple webform on MEA’s website. 

Beginning today, MEA members will be able to fill out the webform by logging into the Member Portal of the MEA website, choosing Current Surveys from the menu on the left-hand side, and clicking on the 2024 Holiday Party Webform link (for more directions, view this PDF). The opportunity to register for the Holiday Party lottery will close on Thursday, November 14 at 12:00 noon.

Tickets will be distributed to members who enter based on a lottery system – though it is likely that most members who register will have the opportunity to purchase tickets. 

If you win the opportunity to purchase tickets, you will be notified via email and given more information about how to pay for your tickets. If you do not win initially, you will potentially get another chance to purchase tickets that are not claimed or not paid for by the initial winners.
