MORE GOOD NEWS – MEA HAS SECURED AN ADDITIONAL 5% FOR ELECTRICIAN CERTIFICATION

As a follow up to MEA’s earlier E-blast regarding contract negotiations, MEA’s Tentative Agreement (TA) with the City includes a 5% Certification Pay that all Electrician Supervisors and Plant Process Control Supervisors will be eligible for.

If you obtain, or already have obtained, Electrician Certification from the State of California you will be eligible for an additional 5% in pay.

This Voluntary Certification Pay is in addition to the 21% General Salary Increase!

Please be on the lookout for more information related to the upcoming contract ratification vote by MEA’s membership on May 2.  Your participation will be critical to ensure that these pay increases are approved and implemented.
