MORE GOOD NEWS – MEA HAS SECURED AN ADDITIONAL SPECIAL SALARY INCREASE FOR ACCOUNTANTS – TO BE ADDED TO THE 21% GENERAL SALARY INCREASE IN NEW 3-YEAR CONTRACT

As a follow up to MEA’s earlier E-blast regarding contract negotiations, MEA’s Tentative Agreement (TA) with the City includes an additional special salary increase of 7.9% for Accountant I; 2.4% for Accountant II; and 2.7% for Accountant III.  Each of these increases will occur on the first day of the new contract on July 1, 2023 and will be in addition to the general salary increases already scheduled.

Congratulations on this well-earned additional pay increase.  Please be on the lookout for more information related to the upcoming contract ratification vote by MEA’s membership on May 2.  Your participation will be critical to ensure that these pay increases are approved and implemented.
