Welcome to New MEA President Greg Woods

We are proud to announce that MEA President Bob Cronk has been promoted to Deputy Director in the Library Department.  Bob has been a part of the Library team for over 25 years and has been instrumental in a number of crucial projects that have made the City of San Diego’s Library system a national model.  Even with his many professional commitments, Bob has sacrificed a great deal of his personal time to serve in a number of roles in MEA’s leadership team for the last decade, including the last three years as President.  Bob is known for his tireless efforts and outstanding commitment to his colleagues at the City of San Diego and to his Union.  Although we are very sad that Bob’s promotion means that he will no longer be represented by MEA, we are very happy for him and this well-deserved promotion!

MEA First Vice President Greg Woods will serve out the remaining term as MEA’s President.  Greg has worked for the City of San Diego for 25 years and has been an integral part of MEA’s leadership for 20 years.  In addition to serving as First Vice President, Greg also serves on MEA’s Negotiating Team and Stewards, and chairs MEA’s Membership Committee which puts on the General Membership Meeting and December Holiday Party.  Greg will be an outstanding President who will continue to proudly serve and represent his Union family.
